Good job with the game so far.
But there are really some things that can be better. I would like to propose a few things.
Achievements: Yes, you can earn a achievement but there is not really something that appreciates the time spend in the game. How you implement this is totally up to you.
I suggest achievement on a personal level. (Not the medals) I think that's more country based. Anyway, what sort of achievements you think? Well, for example, someone who finished the tutorial for starters.
Or joined a first SF, killed their first soldier/captain, (killed 10/100/1000 etc) became LD of ... country, became LD of country X 10 times. You name it, you can add anything you like. You can even hand out an achievement if players help out for bugs or something.
What names you gives it is totally up to you. Also these achievements are collected over the years of playing (as i see it) I mean cool is it to fill your personal page with all sorts of medals and game achievements. Totally something to work for. You can even put achievements that can be reached if a player is duke. Aka behind pay wall
Something else, the webpage can be way more self promoting. The maps are awesome, why not promote them?
