Random picking country is not helping if you want to build a nice army of your favorite units...
Find a way to give the players the possibility to have their desired units, as a respect for the player.
I will not play, if not given the choice to use my preferred units.

I'm sorry Moske, but thats not something we plan to change. There's free joining ages and random joining ages. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. And the country bonusses and units are part of the gameplay.
