Starting Countries

Just a thought. Instead of starting out with same number of countries for every age, how about tying the starting amount of countries to the amount of players. Eg. Under 100...6 , 100-150...8, 150 - 200...10, and so on. This way there might be a little more action , even a stack wouldn't be able to steamroll since the odds of having more active participants for each country would be higher. Ty

I dont mind lowering nations at age start, however there is something to take into account, and thats continents.
Per design we want per continent an equal ammount of nations. Otherwise one nation or one regional unit might have an advantage by setup, and thats not something we want.

Bringing it even further down to like 6 nations, will lead to 6-7 day ages, and we dont want that either.
We will be always looking to keep our avarage arround 12-14 days per age, which is rougly our current avarage aswell.

it got so bad , some countries are unable to do anything. starting an age then hope some other country kills yours in order to join a new one with hopefully more players. it doesn't necessarily mean that fewer countries = shorter ages.
countries will get similar number of players, getting similar strength. doesn't make it easier to kill other countries, makes it harder, since now they are able to sf, defend... play the game...
players would apreciate lower country count at age start, and i thought it makes sense to make it more fun and playable for the players.
