Tournament battle win giving less points

After reading about how Tournaments work, it sounds like you get 2 points per win and then if you win against higher level heroes you also get a bonus of (Enemy hero lvl - Your hero level). But looking at some tournaments it looks like there are plenty of situations where wining against higher level heroes actually gives just 1 point.
