Thats correct there was bug/feature they fixed, where trainer from all heroes in SF was used for exp calculation instead of just your own heroes.

To give some frame for the unit exp i just hit gen** and my units are at a spread between 11K-9K exp. im around 300+ auth below hardcap and i gradually increased trainer skill to 20/20/16 by now. I probably will hit 15k exp on my units at the end of gen** at which point i will get even further behin...

I like the fact elite and legend units give more rating for ranking armies and therefor the needed exp should be higher indeed.

Maybe half way to marq you get around elite and then when you hit marq plus a little then you hit legend.

Also, been doing some ranking this age and have to agree that units get shit exp using normal training battles.
Been having hardcap issues in the mid blue ranks (std to vet T2 and vet to mst T2)
SFs do give a shit ton of exp though.

Been struggling with turkanas alot in the mid blue ranks, mainly due to not enough unit exp to promote them even further which in turn slows down the training runs getting more injuries then some other units seem to get.

Mid blues means T2 units just to point that out T1 units was going fine.

@Fiskerman: The current tourney setup can be viewed as Last Man Standing. It fights till one is left standing and the rest will drop out accordingly. Make tourney a real tournament style.

With seeding into groups double round robing single duels in that group

and then Best of 3's elimination towards final

you could do this with a round each tick

So tiralan posted this in an other thread

"Exp now has a base value, which get multiplied by the amount of rounds.
SFs and Pvps have an aditional modifier to it, which makes them worth more than a training run."

So depending on the current modifier for SFs you could tone it down a bit.

ok i did some testing in the developer console

this is how you can set the volume, between 0-1.

//set volume to 20%

I currently have the battle sound notification disabled since its way to loud.

So my suggestion would be to make the sound level adjustable, not only on/off.

Overall i think the event should have a limited age timer so it doesnt drag to long. Wheeling/SFing is one of the biggest parts of tlk and that gets hit hard with this event which makes the last 24-36hours of the age pretty boring. Maybe the flooding could be tied to the amount of cities on the map ...
