To give some frame for the unit exp i just hit gen** and my units are at a spread between 11K-9K exp. im around 300+ auth below hardcap and i gradually increased trainer skill to 20/20/16 by now. I probably will hit 15k exp on my units at the end of gen** at which point i will get even further behin...
Also, been doing some ranking this age and have to agree that units get shit exp using normal training battles.
Been having hardcap issues in the mid blue ranks (std to vet T2 and vet to mst T2)
SFs do give a shit ton of exp though.
Been struggling with turkanas alot in the mid blue ranks, mainly due to not enough unit exp to promote them even further which in turn slows down the training runs getting more injuries then some other units seem to get.
Mid blues means T2 units just to point that out T1 units was going fine.
@Fiskerman: The current tourney setup can be viewed as Last Man Standing. It fights till one is left standing and the rest will drop out accordingly. So depending on the current modifier for SFs you could tone it down a bit.
Overall i think the event should have a limited age timer so it doesnt drag to long. Wheeling/SFing is one of the biggest parts of tlk and that gets hit hard with this event which makes the last 24-36hours of the age pretty boring. Maybe the flooding could be tied to the amount of cities on the map ...
