Oh man.. I started playing Age 2 of the original TLK. Sadly I never played actively, but I do remember some of the things you mention! Most of all I remember the activity back then... it's a shame the game shrunk so badly :S

Missionaries in age 8 was the best time ever. 100% Missionaries with low damage each, but over 90% healing at the end. it was Cowtown ontop that age, with others in the country trying to catch up. It was just a race to see who could click the most, and longest.

And the rest hated CowTown for that cause he rather clicked than warred.
